Hosted by the Laurier Centre for Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies, the 29th Canadian Military History Colloquium will be held at Wilfrid Laurier University from 4-5 May, 2018.
Elizabeth Greenhalgh, University of New South Wales, Canberra, author of The French Army and the First World (2014), Foch in Command: The Forging of a First World War General (2011), and Victory Through Coalition: Britain and France during the First World War (2005).
Call for Papers
Conference organizers invite submissions on all periods of Canadian military history and war and society, but especially on 1918, the last year of fighting on the Western Front. Proposals are welcome from all scholars including students, faculty and independent researchers.
There is NO registration fee or conference fee for graduate students presenting papers.
To apply, submit a 250-300 word abstract and brief bio to: [email protected] by 5 February 2018.
A limited number of $500 travel bursaries will also be offered to the top graduate student presenters from non-Ontario universities provided they submit a 7500 – 10,000 word (including notes) article based on their conference presentation by 16 April 2018.
