Call for Papers: 30th Annual Canadian Military History Colloquium, 3-4 May 2019

Hosted by the Laurier Centre for Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies, the 30th Canadian Military History Colloquium will be held at Wilfrid Laurier University from 3-4 May, 2019.

 

Call for Papers

Conference organizers invite submissions on all periods of Canadian military history and war and society. Proposals are welcome from all scholars including students, faculty and independent researchers. Application deadline: 4 February 2019.

There is NO registration fee or conference fee for graduate students presenting papers.

Proposals should be sent to [email protected]canadianmilitaryhistory.ca.

 

Keynote Speaker

Susan Grayzel, Utah State University, author of Gender and the Great War (2017), and At Home and Under Fire: Air Raids & Culture in Britain from the Great War to the Blitz (2012).

 

Travel Bursaries

A limited number of $500 travel bursaries will also be offered to the top graduate student presenters from non-Ontario universities provided they submit a 7,500 – 10,000 word (including notes) article based on their conference presentation by 16 April 2019.
