Guelph Military Lecture Series: Mike Bechthold on the Air Battle over Vimy and Arras in 1917, November 16, 7pm

 

On Thursday, November 16, Mike Bechthold will be speaking at the Guelph Civic Museum on ‘Bloody April: The Air Battle Over Vimy and Arras in 1917’.

Mike Bechthold is a historian of the First and Second World Wars and an air power specialist. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of New South Wales, Canberra, and an M.A. & Honours B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University. His most recent book is Flying to Victory: Raymond Collishaw and the Western Desert Campaign, 1940-1941 (2017).

The Guelph Civic Museum Military Lecture Series is conducted as part of the LCMSDS’ mandate to offer innovative and informative scholarship in Canadian military history available to public audiences. The events are hosted at the Guelph Civic Museum, 52 Norfolk St, Guelph, ON. Admission is free with a donation and the start time is 7:00 pm.
