Terry Copp, Professor Emeritus at Wilfrid Laurier University, will present the first of four talks on the Canadian experience of war 1914-1918 on Parliament Hill, 12 February 2014. The series is sponsored by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, Joe Comartin M.P., and is intended to encourage discussion of issues related to commemoration as we approach the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of war in August 1944. Carl Bouchard, Université de Montréal (March), Tim Cook, Canadian War Museum (April), and Réal Belanger, Université de Laval (May) are the other historians invited to speak on the Hill.
