Inside the Surge: A Canadian’s Perspective on Transition in Afghanistan

Colonel David Patterson will describe his experience in Kandahar as a senior member of the 10th Mountain Division staff at Regional Command – South during a critical time for the mission there. The effect of the “Obama Surge” and the withdrawal of the Canadian combat mission, as well as his experience as a mentor to Afghan security forces will be reviewed.

Col David Patterson is Director Division Rear, 1st Canadian Division HQ, A Research Associate of the LCMSDS, and the President of the Canadian Battlefields Foundation

The Lecture starts at 7pm at the Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies
